Can i feed chickens and quail ground up soy bean?

Soy bean "anti-nutrients" can interfere with their digestion.

It apparently takes only a little heat processing to solve the problem - so, cook them first.

I feed my chickens whole cooked soybeans every morning first food. Soak the soybeans overnite, boil at least 20 minutes. Cool, drain and refridgerate. I feed about 1 oz per bird. The water they are cooked in goes on the compost pile.

Most beans are toxic when eaten raw. Roast or boil before feeding.

Yeah soybeans are great protein for all animal's but require heat treatment of some form or another. steam cooking, roasting, or high pressure during the pelletizing process can do it also.
