Can lash material feel like an egg?

I have a bird that recently had an egg that was stuck and was removed surgically by the vet. The egg had softer she'll and rotted material on the inside and the vet said it's caused by salpingitis. This was about 10 days ago and I'm now noticing a large, hard mass in her abdomen that feels very much like and egg. It feels very hard, not rubbery and the lash material that she's been passing for the last week and usually softer so I'm worried that this is an egg and not lash material? At the time of the surgery, she did get a hormonal implant to stop her from laying eggs, so I'm not sure if it's just a build up of lash material or maybe inflammation of some sort? For any of you that have dealt with salpingitis, do you think that this could potentially be lash material or is it for sure an egg? Also for reference my bird is a pigeon, but I couldn't really find a lot of information on pigeon forums cause I guess it's not as common in pigeons

I know nothing of pigeons, only chickens. Lash egg material from salpingitis would feel solid like tissue. You also could be feeling the gizzard which feels hard. Calcium citrate with vitamin D might be helpful to help her pass an egg or lash material. We usually recommend about 300 mg of calcium for a 5 pound chicken, so you could break into 4 pieces and use 1/4 tablet. Liquid calcium gluconate from feed stores might also be good to use. Here is the pigeon and dove forum where you can also post

Thank you so much for the info! The mass is kind of pushing on her vent and it's pretty large, so I can't really tell if that's where the gizzard would be. She's also very underweight and her keel bone is very prominent, she hasn't been eating well due to candida from the antibiotic use. She's not throwing up as much as she was a few days ago so she's able to stomach her food better. I've been giving her calcium glubionate and nutridrench so I'm hoping that'll help with any deficiencies.
