Can live animals be shipped??

(I didn't know what forum to use)
Can living animals be shipped between countries of the same continent?
Sometimes yes, but it depends on the countries and the kind of animal.

Check the rules for the country they come from, and especially check the rules for the country they are going to (because most countries care more about animals come in than what animals go out.)

You might need special paperwork, or a certificate from a veterinarian, or tests to prove they are free of certain diseases, or other things like that.

Where are you? The rules are different in every country, but none are going to let you ship live animals in and out without paperwork and permits.
They said they're from Sweden.

But yeah, permits, vet checks, and more depending on country of origin and final destination.

you have to contact customs and agricultural departments.
I think Europe makes it easier, but there is always the possibility of bringing some diseases with them.
Right now it probably depends on Avian Flu and its presence.
In addition to quarantine, I would also add a vet check as the destination. I read a real heartbreaker, a person had done the quarantine for a new budgy, but after the introduction, their flok fell grievously ill. They lost a couple of birds and had a huge vetbill after as well.
