Can watermelon cause diarrhea

Question we been giving our 6 chickens watermelon for the last few days, I notice they had running stool tonight....I read if the eat so much watermelon it can caused it....what do I need to do to stop it...They are acting and eating and drinking great. They laying a egg a day.

If watermelon would kill a chicken, then mine would all be dead, since my husband shares one with 30 chickens every single day, LOL. It contains a lot of water, and drinking large amounts of water will tend to give them watery poops, but that isn't a bad thing in the summer heat.If they are alert and active, I wouldn't be concerned unless you see one who looks sick.
