Hi guys,
First question is about my 4 month old GL wyandotte. His wing feathers dont look right. Am i correct in assuming they arent going grow out correctly?
I brought him as a day old.

The next is my "silver" laced wyandotte. Doesn't look silver to me! Is she a hybrid and is it not a good idea to breed with her? Ive got another GL wyandotte hen so I'm aware I'm probably going to need to get another GL rooster.

1. Give your rooster time to grow. Roosters take longer to feather in.

2. No. Not silver laced. Looks blue laced red. Follow a blue laced red line if you want to breed her.

Wyandotte breeders hopefully will chime in. Keeping your appropriate colors will require keeping separate lines.

She isn't a 'hybrid', she's likely a mixed breed or mixed color, but I'm leaning towards mix breed but I can't see her comb. That being said, I wouldn't use her for breeding her for wyandottes, unless you want to work on a line of gold/silver wheaten laced, which personally, I would find appealing.

She is purebred. Okay that's interesting I haven't heard of Wheaten laced. Thanks for that!

Better shot of her comb

There isn't such a thing, as far as I know, at least publicly available, but that's the closest color I can come up with. Where did you get her? I think she's pretty.
I got her from a breeder in Victoria who has a really nice small group of the golden laced and silver laced. As well as other breeds. They're all seperate too.

The three together plus the polish I also got from the same breeder
