Can you tell what color eggs an EE will lay be their legs or earlobes?

I was wondering if there is a way to determine what color eggs an EE will lay when purchasing them as chicks. I have heard that there may be ways to tell but was unsure if they are just myths. We are planning to get three new EE chicks next spring and are really hoping to get at least one blue layer to add some variety to our carton.
We have one three year old EE hen named Amelia that lays green eggs and a one year old blue bantam EE hen named Button that lays brown.
I would really appreciate if anyone has tips on determining what color eggs an EE will lay, or confirmation that there is really no sure way to tell and you just get what you get.
Thanks in advance everyone!

You get what you get, usually. Some egg-laying color is sex-linked, I've heard, but that only works if you know the parentage. (and yes, I know roosters don't lay eggs, in case anyone's laughing at me. I meant that roosters carry the color gene)

Most EE hens lay green eggs. Blue, especially deeper blue, is prized and rare.

EE are mutts that could be a combination of multiple breeds. They may or may not have the muffs and beards. They are supposed to have a pea comb. Their legs should be slate color, but some can be as light as a willow color. Hopefully, they will lay a green, aqua, olive or blue egg, but some do not. Brown, cream, and pink are not uncommon egg colors with EE.

Thanks for the quick replies everybody. I want to get Americaunas/Aracaunas but just assume I will be getting EE's because of how often they are incorrectly labeled in feed stores. We thought we were getting Americaunas when we got our first EE's and we ended up with green and one blue layer. I don't know any breeders who sell Americaunas/Aracaunas locally. I guess I will just get what I get and cross my fingers for blue layers.

See if you can find some cream legbar chicks. They lay blue. I had two EEs, one laid blue and one laid more of a green. Either way it’s still adds variety to brown.
