Help!🙏 need as much advice as i can get I have guinan fowl eggs in the incubator on day 21 unfortunately I'm in an odd situation where I'm not sure if they are alive so on day 15 it got extremely hot in the house while I was out for about 4/5 hours came home and the temp in it went up to 45 degrees I was absolutely certain all 10 were dead but decided to get the temp back down cooled the house and left them in there going but still ask my mother inlaw to drop off another 10 because i was pretty confident they wouldnt of live through that well today she dropped the fresh egg off so I've just candled and definitely 7 of the ten are definitely dead veins gone and just a dark blob but 3 of them veins still intact and have grown since day 14 they take up almost the hole egg other than the air sack not sure how it would even be possible but now I'm left wondering how I'm going to put the 3 that are possibly alive in lock down next week and have these fresh eggs still at the correct humidity for them to have a good hatchability rate all in the same incubator I have a brooder so I guess I'm wondering would it be possible to leave my fresh eggs out of the incubator until these e eggs reach day 25 and transfer them into the brooder if I can manage to get the humidity as high as it would need to be has anyone ever done lock down in a brooder and had them hatch ??

I have a few incubators and that would be the best way to do it. Without having a spare incubator, this would be tough. I don't know what kind of brooder you have, but those eggs during lockdown still need to be 99.5F and humidity up to about 70%.

I'm not sure I follow the dates, but if they are more than a week apart, and you have no other way to separate them, I'd leave them all in there and split the difference of the humidity down to about 60%.

Then when the first ones hatch, you can let them dry off and take them out before the next ones pip. Then turn the humidity up for them to 70%

Welcome to BYC!

Unfortunately no spare incubators, I called my friend who owns the brooder I'm using and she's pretty confident that they could hatch in the brooder as it's a little fancier and has a temperature controller so she said the only problem I'll run into is the humidity but im going to trial a humidifier running next to it or in it and if that doesn't work ill try dishes of water I'll post as I go but I'm going to leave the fresh eggs for the five days and just turn them each day and when it's lock down day I'll move the possibility alive eggs in the brooder (if I can manage humidity to the correct 70%for the next five days ) and put the fresh eggs in there, if all else fails I think I'm going to have to do what you've said to do and hope for the best either way I'll post the results thank you so much for your advise any is massively helpful so I appreciate it xx
