cant find baby chicks anywhere this year??

hey all, its about time for me to buy baby chicks this year and I've been looking but Its been almost impossible to find anything year. even my local tractor supply has barely had any. had anyone else had this problem?? its never been a problem for me until this year

Yeah it’s bananas. It totally reminds me of covid times when people suddenly decided they needed to have chickens for some reason and the feed stores would run out completely within hours.

My local TSC has calmed down on the panic and chicks are available now several days of the week.

But yeah for a while there it was bonkers!!

I have noticed this! I decided to get into chickens now that I have a space to do it, and was SHOCKED that I had to wait until September/October to get the breed I want... The TSC here seems to have some this last week finally, but none of the breeds I have been wanting, so I've just been impatiently waiting.

I have kinda noticed that at least with the ones I've ordered, a lot are being cancelled, so I can keep moving up the date; so fingers crossed I can get some before the end of summer.
