Can't find hard plastic kiddie pools anywhere!

I went to the local dollar store, asked, and was told they didn't have any more. Thanked them, and on the way out the door? They had 4 stuck in the corner behind the shopping carts.

ETA, the problem with the snapset is the thin plastic bottom won't hold up to duck claws.

If all else fails, it's amazing how much fun they can have in a deep cat litter tray, until you find a pool. Our local feed store has gotten so they carry the plastic pools most all year long -- must be getting to be a whole lot of us crazy duck people.

get some of the big concrete mixing pans at Lowes. They are 3' x 2' and about 6" deep. I use them for the hens and babies in my Aviary when keeping them seperated from the open Aviary. They all love them

I tried looking a few months ago and couldnt find any either. I'm eventually going to put in a concrete pond, but I wanted something temp until then as I'm getting ducklings in the spring. Thank you everyone for your helpful comments! I'll look into the concrete mixing pans.

Have you checked online? Not sure how they would ship them, but never hurts. Maybe Amazon.com?

Otherwise you might have to wait until spring/summer for them to be in season.

Good Luck.

what about a shop that sells storage containers, we have a shop called "the plastic box" and they sell just about everything you can think of made of plastic, or even dig a hole and put a layer of plastic sheeting down until you get a pool.sorry im not much help!!

Using a pond liner you could build a pool out of just about anything. You could put blocks or logs around in a circle and drape the pool liner over those. That would give the ducks about 6 inches of water or you could use hay bales for a deeper pond.

Since I think it will be a long time before we dig a real pond, I'm thinking about upgrading their plastic pool to this - just for aesthetics for me. Obviously the ducks don't care what they play in lol

You can make it as short/tall, wide, or long as you want.
