Chain-link dog kennels for run?

Hi there!
We converted a dog kennel (+ a few extra panels) into a 10ft by 20ft run for our ducks, chickens, and geese.

Here are some pictures of the process. I'm happy to share more details on how I designed it and what materials we used.

We've had it for a few years now, and it's been fantastic.

Can you tell me what you used to secure the wood roof to the top of the fence? How’s it holding up?

Hi there! Sorry for the late response!
I used pipe straps around the top chain link bar and screwed them into a 2x4 or 4x4 running the length of the top of the panel. There’s an earlier photo on the thread showing it.

Hi there!
I used pipe straps to fasten 1x4 fence boards (trimmed down to size). I basically just framed out the original chain link gate.
We’ve had the run for years now, and it’s holding up great. No losses to predators.

I got my chain linked fence from a friend. But see many on Facebook marketplace. I put a tin roof over it then added chicken wire to the outside to make sure nothing could get in and they couldnt get out. I still have a little work to do. Ill get some new pictures as i havent updated them since i did most of the work. We put tarps up in the winter to.View attachment 3528983

It held up amazing. We moved so unfortunately my whole run is changing.
It was just 4 x 4s for the posts, 2x4s for where the tin was and then it was bolted to our garage but 4 x 4s could go there to.
The chain link was on the outside. And dug a bit in the ground with bricks around it. The 4 x 4s were dug about 2 ft in the ground. Then the 2 x 4s were 10 or 12ft long with cross braces the whole way down. The tin on top
I just put heavy duty tarps around this during the winter.
