LOL!What nutter told you quail smell like milk?
We volunteered at a bird field-study where they capture wild quail... and they said they smell like milk. LOL!
From the interwebs: "Quails have a musky odor that comes from scent glands located on their flanks. These glands produce a secretion with a strong smell, which is believed to play a role in communication and territorial marking. The odor can be more noticeable in some quail species or individuals, and it's a natural characteristic of these birds."
