Cheryl's Hen House...

Thank you. It's been a difficult time. The loss of one's mother is obviously never an easy thing under the best of circumstances. Having to deal with her house on our street and the old house/property pretty much absorbed Cheryl and I for a solid year. There was just so much stuff. She obviously never threw anything away, ever. We literally had estate auction companies turn us down because of the shear size of what needed to be liquidated. We would still be dealing with it if I hadn't retired early so I could concentrate on it.
I understand the stuff issue. My mom passed 2008.
I thought I could deal with my parents stuff nextdoor when I retired in 2012.... Somehow I never got around to it.

We are down to 2 hens a 7 year old RIR and a 4 year old Cinnamon Queen. And the same here they are retired and earned it. The scope of things changes so much when you get below a dozen then when your down to 4 they don't eat much feed. I wish I could buy feed by the pound.

13 left here and they eat like a 12 year old fat kid. :lau Oh well, as you say, they earned it.

Well now that the days are getting shorter we've progressed up to zero egg production. Nothing to look forward to but spring when we will add some more that aren't freeloaders. lol... :lau
