I have a chick that hatched on 11/28 with curly toes. I tried making boots for it, but it did not correct.
I now notice that it's showing symptoms of blindness and I'm a bit worried. It has quickly become my favorite little baby and I'll do anything I can to help it. 🥺
It's a week old now and far behind the others. It hasn't grown at all, can still fit in the palm of my hand but I watch it eat and drink. I added nutri dense to their water a few days ago and that has seemed to help perk it up a bit.. Help 😭

I'm so sorry about your sweet little chick.
Hopefully others will chime in.

Always a hard to thing to do with these tiny babies, you grow attached for sure, but personally I would cull the chick. She's failing to thrive and has issues.

This is the kindest method I have found for culling a chick. So sorry!

Thank you! I'm going to do my best to help the little guy out before I move to culling. My last flock had a rooster that seemed to be failing to thrive and he is now my best looking roo so im hopeful but this guy is in a lot worse condition. It's gonna take a true miracle I think 😔
