Have a smaller chick that has been “doppy” since she started walking. Finally was able to see her foot and she has curly toes. Am I able to splint these straight with popsicle sticks and coban? She’s getting food and water but frequently gets run over by the others. She’s getting bigger but slower than the rest. They’ve had medicated feed since hatching and I have given them electrolytes but they got diarrhea so I haven’t given it again. Thanks y’all!

Get her started on human Super B complex 1/4 tablet daily crushed into a spoonful of water which has riboflavin (B2) or a chick vitamin with riboflavin. Try taping the toes flat in a normal position on top and bottom for a few days. Here is a link with a picture:

I would take her aside and feed her some dry and wet chick crumbles and a little egg. How old are they?

6 weeks on Monday. Separate her and she’s not interested in eating. Does like to fall asleep on me when she gets comfy and warm. Splinted the foot with some popsicle sticks and bandaids. Just bandaids weren’t working. She’s walking much better but the other chicks are messing with it. I’m hoping they quit when they get done snooping. Keeping an eye on her though

I haven’t gotten them yet. She won’t eat or drink if she’s held or out of her area. That’s basically what I did with the sticks. One holding her toes apart and one against the bottom to hold her foot flat.
