I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but when you're sharing chicks locally what kind of boxes does everyone use? I started by just putting some pine shavings in a cardboard box and cutting holes in the side but I very quickly ran out of the appropriate sized boxes! I would like to purchase something inexpensive in bulk that can make my life a bit easier...those foldable lightweight boxes like the feed stores have would be perfect but I can't seem to find any other than the expensive heavy duty shipping boxes online. Does anyone know where to buy them? Thanks!

Amazon has some good boxes that comes with their stuff. :D Just kidding!:p Office depot and home depot I know sell some. I don't really know how big of a box you are asking about anyways. What are the dimensions?

Lol, those are the boxes I started with! I guess I just need to spend more money! Haha!
Nothing huge, I'm thinking 10"x8"x6" but a little smaller would probably work. Honestly those old Happy meal boxes would be great, hmm maybe I should Google something like that. Lol

You could ask the feed store for some or ( just hear me out!) McDonald’s! Just make sure they are unused, you don’t want the chicks smelling their kind!:lau

LOL! I swear I hadn't read your comment before my last response! That's too funny. Live chicks in a mcnuggget box. Lol, I think they usually use paper bags here now but it's still something I may be able to find online so thanks!

I found some fried chicken take out boxes that look like they'll do the trick! 9.5"x5"x5" and they can handle the weight of friend chicken so I feel like with a couple air holes, some pine shavings and the babies should be just fine. I'll add a little tape to the bottom to be sure.
Thanks for helping me get on the right track!
