Hey there! Trying to sex our chick which we *believe* might be a Barnvelder (but also breed might not be correct!). Peggy (pictured) is now 12 weeks old and we're not sure which pronouns to use!!!

I have zero doubts that is a cockerel. I can't say on the breed, but it looks very similar to my Black Australorp cockerel. The bright comb and wattle, and the way his tail feathers are starting to curve are dead give aways.

Can you help me identify the sex and gender of these guys/gals? I have posted earlier in another thread that I believe these birds to be around 8 weeks old and was told were black sex link. The pointy tail made me think that one was a cockerel, but both their combs are pinkish compared to another known cockerel in my flock that is bright red. The first two photos were taken today. First picture is of the cockerel in question with pointy tail. The second photo is of what I believe may be a hen. The last few are from about 2 weeks ago.

That definitely is a black austrolorp and a cock. I’ve got a bantam one.
