I know pullets and submissive cockerels will squat early on but this is SUPER early on. This is Tombo, they’re not even a week old and they’re already squatting for me, like full on squat which they held… wings out and all. Do chicks normally do that this early on?

I have 12 days olds and some have been doing it for about three days. They are broody raised and pretty doggone skittish... How tame are yours?

Hard to see but there's no question it's a submission/don't squish me squat. Multiple instances.

Tombo(this chick) is one of my most social but they all avoid going towards me when I’m moving. Only if I’m still- it was probably a don’t smoosh me squat? These guys are brooder and incubator babies. I’ll try to get it on picture
