Hello all! I have a little emergency and came here for advice. This morning I went out to check in some chicks who I had put outside about a week ago. They had been doing really, really well even as of last night, but this afternoon I went to check on them again and on of my Swedish Flower chicks was laying down on the floor with her head low and very tight to her body. I picked her up cause I didn’t want her getting hurt and under her I thought was bloody stool but I was happily mistaken upon looking at a stool guide that went from normal to abnormal. Her stool was normal, so at least that was good.
I took my baby inside where she’s still rather lethargic. She has been drinking water, but not much since being brought in and is tightly huddled into herself.
I was wondering if she could be sick or if she maybe had gotten pushed around by the older birds despite not being visibly hurt anywhere.
She’s usually been so energetic since day one, and she usually gives me a tough time to grab her, but she doesn’t even fight or peep when I grab her right now.
What should I do?
Here she is now...
