Chick with crusty beak!

I am a new chicken owner. I have a 15 week old chick with a crusty beak. What is this? What do I do or treat with? She is acting normal, eating, drinking, and playing. I just noticed this today.

It could be dried nasal discharge but it could also be just dirt. If she's otherwise acting normally I'd wipe it clean with a damp rag and just watch to see if it happens again.

If it is nasal discharge, can that be a sign of respiratory infection?

If it is nasal discharge I would be concerned about a respiratory infection, yes. Although, with that much I would really expect her to be acting off if it were nasal discharge/uri
