I bought 3 chicks so my 6 day old wouldn’t be alone with his mom and one of them is not able to walk
I’m thinking of trying a splint with popsicle sticks
Any advice is appreciated 🙏

Welcome to BYC! :frow

That appears to be a severe deformity, the chick should never have been sold.. and will never survive with a mom. Culling or returning to the seller is suggested. :(

Are you able or willing to support a special needs bird long term? Does that foot easily bend forward in the right direction? Do you know how old the chick is now? It could survive and maybe have *some* quality of life.. but not everything was meant to.

Sorry you both are facing this. Best wishes for whatever is right for you! :fl
