My hen has black spots on her comb. She is acting fine and is active and still laying everyday. It’s not been cold enough for it to be frostbite so I don’t know what it is. She’s had it for a few weeks now. I just thought one of the roosters but her and ripped it.

Hi, my girls also have spots which have appeared on their waddles and combs in the past couple of days. Behaving normally. Eating, drinking, laying, pooing etc.
I'm in Australia and it's summer.
From what I've been reading I'm suspecting dry pox. How do they catch this? I only have two chooks, and have recently relocated. They are in a pen that has had chooks in the past, but not for years.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
