Chicken acting loony running around like she lost something...

I have a Leghorn chicken, she's about 4 years old. We have 3 left of the 13 we started with, so the 3 we have left are pretty close (meaning family wise). Well, she has started acting really wound up, like she's on speed or something. She keeps jumping over the fenced in area, then running around the yard, under the house, getting in and out of trees, pecking at everything, and doing that "bulk bulk" sound they make, but doing it really fast. She acts like she's lost something and can't find it.

Every time she see's me, she runs up to me and kind of follows me around. I can pick her up and she seems comfortable while I'm holding her, but after I put her back in her coop, she comes right back out, jumps the fences, and starts acting all wound up again.

So I ended up putting her and her 2 sisters in the "run" area where it's completely closed and they can't get out unless I open a doorway to the fenced in area, but it's still outside. (hope that's making sense) Now she's in the closed in fenced area, walking back and forth, pecking at the screen, jumping around, like she's trying to figure out how to escape.

I've seen them act like this when there's a predictor around (like a mink), they will jump the fence and go for one of the thick tall shrubs to hide, but there isn't a predictor, and her sisters are looking at her like she's gone nuts.

Any idea what might be going on? Never seen one act like this before without a predictor being around, but then they all start acting like that.

Thanks for any help or info,
JimBob
