What’s up with my broody not broody girl?

Sigh breaking a broody is so difficult, as you probably know. Do you have any tips on the best way to do that? I don’t mind a couple more chicks, but she was just broody. Sitting in a box for 21 days AGAIN doesn’t seem healthy. I just want the best for her.

I broke a broody hen by isolating her in a tent, with a big box of food, water, and a log to perch on. Now I am using the same tent as a "brooder"! Two chicks are in there with their Mama, so I put lots of straw in there this time and a wading pool with dirt for dust bathing.

A good method is to isolate the broody hen in a strong wire cage or dog crate, placed on bricks to a cool breeze can flow underneath to cool the broody hen's belly. Make sure she has food and water at all times, and a log for perching.

There is a very good article on advice for this. I am trying to find it for you.
