Chicken attacks beaver and squirrel

I have for female chickens one female cruise like a rooster I heard sometimes the one female becomes more mail like to protect the flock. This chicken we call Peggy will chase Ground hogs and I found her chasing a squirrel and trying to pack itIs it true that some female chickens can become more mail like and get spurs this chicken is a female but has begun to crow she patrols the yard is this common

Yes sometime hens take on a rooster's role,it dosen't cause them to grow spurs some hens just naturally have spurs.
