Hi everyone,
I have a strange question, does anyone out there have a safe recipe for a birthday cake for my chickens? They are 1 years old this week and all of my students say that we need to celebrate with a cake or something. :)

Oh yes! Definitely do a flock block for it! :) It's cake-shaped. Maybe you could ponder some sort of "frosting" for it... Like a yogurt glaze like they put on dog treats or pretzels. It's just plain yogurt, corn starch and powdered sugar until it's very thick, and nothing in there is likely to be particularly harmful as long as you keep the sugar levels lower. Then you pour it on and let it dry, and you can use pretty much any human-grade food coloring to put in patterns with a toothpick or a paintbrush to make it pretty. :)

That's what I'd do anyhow. XD

I love that idea!!

I think it is incredibly sweet you love your chickens enough to want to make them a birthday cake. Very few are so fortunate.
Our ladies are soooo much fun!! They know about what time I'm due to come home from work and they are pacing at the gate of their run waiting on me. They love their free range time! Lol
