Chicken coop big enough?

Because the big chicken coop I have already has chickens in it. I was going to get 3 more chickens for it, then get another chicken coop so i can have a few more chickens.

I wasn't talking about moving the chickens i have into a new coop. O haI have 5 chickens in a big one and was going to get three more for it, and get a second coop that i an use as a brooder for six chickens then asking if it was possible to keep 3 chickens in it.

I guess I'm completely confused. The more I look at it, I can't tell how many you already have versus how many more you want, and how much coop/run space you already have and how much coop/run space you want to add? So you currently have 5 and want to add 3? Or you have 5+3 and then want to add another 3 in a coop you say is built for 6????? I'm super confused now.

You also mentioned having a 24 sq ft enclosure (not sure if that's your "big" or the "new" or what) but you still haven't specified how much of that was coop and how much was run. 24 sq ft coop can hold 6 chickens as long as they have at least 60+ sq ft of run - but a 24 sq ft run can hold 2 chickens.

I still would think building a bigger set up to fit all the chickens both old and new would be the best bet, unless they must be separated for some reason.
