Chicken Falling Asleep While Standing Up - NOT COCCIDIOSIS

The vitamin E would be helpful too, since it helps with neurological problems.
That's great to know, I'll look up how we should give that to her and I'll try to start that up tonight and tomorrow (if she makes it). The farm said that that brood of speckleds all seemed to have issues and they had a lot of runts

I know this thread is a year old but I'm having the same issue with my speckled Sussex. What was the outcome? Did the Vit B help?

Hi There! Unfortunately, the vet thought that my little girl might have just had failure to thrive. We put her down because we knew that she may end up getting sick right after we healed her up again. If I could go back and redo, I would have started by going to the vet to get the albon because she reacted better to that than corid for the coccidiosis. I would've given her a bit of poultry drench right after finishing the medicine and went back to the vet immediately to get a follow-up fecal test (this would've shown she had worms). I would've given her scrambled eggs and mashed food every day to make sure she was getting in a good amount of beyond what she was eating on her own. The hard part is that she ended up having roundworm and I didn't know that until she was at the very end and it was too late. I should have given her poultry drench immediately when she was struggling to walk but I didn't have any and couldn't get any right away. I hope your little one gets better - definitely go to the vet if you can and get fecals and everything. Start with poultry drench. If you can get to a vet, they can also give IV fluids to help. I really hope your little one gets better though these are just things I learned the hard way as a first time mom with my first loss
