Does anyone use chicken harnesses? Since I can't free range my chickens on a daily basis, I was wondering if a harness was a good idea.

Let me know what you think!

Leashing a chicken is a bad idea. While your plan is safer than what some do, it still wouldn't be practical as you could only realistically do one at a time. I think for all that effort you're better off just making their run as enriching as possible. While chickens certainly love free ranging, they don't need to do so to be happy

Ok, thanks! :)

I haven't but my Frizzle is bald on her back so I want to put one on her because I feel bad for her.
What you need is a chicken apron, not a harness. An apron will protect her back until her feathers grow back in. It sounds as if she is being over-bred by the rooster. How many hens/ roosters do you have?

No
