Chicken Related Christmas Gifts

Idk, maybe too early to post this however, my husband is NOT tech savvy (18yrs my senior) so I had to help him order my gift.

He bought me 150ft of hardware cloth for my Chicken Chalet.
(50ft at 2ft high, and 100ft at 4ft high!)

Yes, this is a slight brag on the man who has wholeheartedly embraced MY dream of chickens!!

Anyone else getting or have already received chicken related Christmas gifts???

2 years ago, I got 2 beautiful Orpingtons chickens for Christmas , sadly, they carried a mean bug which brought my whole flock down thank God all of them recovered ( I‘m talking about swollen head, eyes shut and 5 days of force feeding and giving tea) this year, I‘m not sure ….

I had a similar issue with a rooster I got, he was asymptomatic, infected my flock, three of my hens were inside for a month, I didn't lose anyone either, it was rough. Personally I won't buy grown chickens anymore, just raise them myself.
