Ones raised by mother hens tend to be the wisest. I would look for a local farmer to sell you some pullets, so they are old enough to know they are hens. (You could also get little roosters, but most people want hens, so pullets is my default)Hi everyone, long time reader first time poster. As you can tell from my name, I f-ing love chickens.

I don’t know where to start, obviously I like em big, I like em feathery, but most importantly I like em wise.
