Chicken sound, is it an egg sound? Why does my rooster do it too?

Can some please tell me what this sound means?

Yep, that's the egg song. The egg song is a sound of triumph and is typically started by the hen that laid the egg. The rooster and other hens will sing along to congratulate the hen on her accomplishment.

I agree with SilverBirds, it's an egg song.

The rooster will sing it too, basically as a "Good job, yay!" thing.

The 'egg song' is not actually a 'celebration' but a call to be escorted to a nest and/or rejoin the flock after laying.
An 'alarm' call sounds very similar.
