I wish someone could shed light on mine. We think she got hurt on her back unfortunately cause she's a penguin now but she's eating pooping and doesn't seem to be in distress. Good personality just can't walk well now. :/
Welcome to BYC. How long has the penguin walk been going on? Many times this is related to a reproductive disorder, such as salpingitis/internal laying, but if it suddenly happens, it is good to rule out egg binding. When I lose a hen, I will do a home necropsy to look at the abdominal organs for anything unusual. Most state vets will do an even more thorough necropsy.
