Chickens Can Exhibit Flatulence

Farting is serious business. Not done properly can and does result in death. Colic.

It's not the farting that causes colic, its the impaction that doesn't allow farting to commence, impactions are what cause colic.

Edit to add: I stand corrected on one account, I was referring to Equine colic, not human baby colic that yes indeed can be caused by excessive gas. (I guess my mind turned to livestock when seeing the word "colic".)

My limited experience with colic and similar cattle has immediate cause death from asphyxiation. Too much gas on got restricting ability to breath.
