Chickens egg eating. HELP

The only time I had a problem with egg eating was when someone else was taking care of my chickens temporarily and was free feeding them scratch. Since there was always a bowl of scratch available, they ate a lot of it. After I found out and stopped the scratch, they stopped eating their eggs. I'm not saying this is the cause for all egg eaters, but I would look at diet, too.

With My Experience With Egg Eating , It Was Like They Were Missing Something , I Always Have Oyster Shell Available But Maybe That Was Not Enough Calcium , So When I Incubate I Save All The Egg Shells And When This Problem Arises I Provide The Shells When They Stop Eating The Shells, It Was Like They Got What They Needed And Then They Stopped Eating The Eggs. Just An Idea . Thats How I Handled It .
