Chickens in the rain

Mine are deathly araid of the rain and run inside as soon as the first drop hit. They always follow the tree line and then make a bee line on the shortest distance from the trees to the house.

My crazy girls demand to be let out and then stand under the tractor looking pathetic. When the rain lets up some, they all run out into the run to eat. However, if I so much as put my hand on the hose and they think I am going to spray them down like I did during our heat wave, they run like crazy to avoid me. Go figure. I had to sit outside in the rain last evening in my rain jacket so they could freerange. They only went back into their tractor when it really started to rain again. Crazy chickens with an even crazier chicken momma!
