Chickens losing feathers on neck only

Hello! I have recently noticed that some of my chickens are developing bald spots on the front of their necks. Any insight into what might be causing this? Thank you!

Front of the neck? Could be a mini-molt. Get your hands on them and make sure new feathers are coming in and look for mites on the skin.

Yes, just the front of the neck! I've wondered if it is a molt, but I found it weird that it is happening in only a little spot on many of them. I will check for mites.

Chickens go through several mini-molts as they mature. Usually around 2 years old a chicken will go through a full molt and can look very frightful.

If the area has any littlr scabs sge could also be getting picked
