That is a roundworm.I went to the coop this morning to find 2 of my cornish X meat chicks deadI noticed one chick walking around with this redish string thingie hanging from his butt? Is it worms or something doing this?!
Awesome we have safeguard on hand. They still have about 3 weeks to go.That is a roundworm.
Deworm them with Safeguard liquid goat wormer. The dosage is 0.2 ml/ pound for 3-5 days. When are they due to be processed? There is a 14 day withholding period after the last dose is given before you can butcher them. Normally, a second dose is given after 10 days but if they are going to be processed before then, I wouldn't bother.
Then just do one treatment.Awesome we have safeguard on hand. They still have about 3 weeks to go.
Just to clarify, a single treatment is the above dosage for 3-5 days. Don't repeat in 10 days.Ok will do thank you!
