Chicks dying! Help! Red stringy things in poop?

I went to the coop this morning to find 2 of my cornish X meat chicks dead :( I noticed one chick walking around with this redish string thingie hanging from his butt? Is it worms or something doing this?!

That is a roundworm.
Deworm them with Safeguard liquid goat wormer. The dosage is 0.2 ml/ pound for 3-5 days. When are they due to be processed? There is a 14 day withholding period after the last dose is given before you can butcher them. Normally, a second dose is given after 10 days but if they are going to be processed before then, I wouldn't bother.

Awesome we have safeguard on hand. They still have about 3 weeks to go.
