Please help!! I had 19 chicks I hatched about a month or 2 ago. They have been healthy without issue. Late last week I had one that was lethargic laying around with her eyes closed, the next afternoon she was dead. A couple of days later, another. Everything was fine for a few days then last night as I put the chickens up, I had 2 more that weren't in the best looking shape. 1 of them looked worse than the other so I brought him in so he wouldn't get walked over or pecked on during the night. He never moved once I put him the kennel and this morning he was dead. Went out this morning and the other chick was lethargic, laying on her side with legs outstretched and chirping. I have now brought her in to keep her warm and protected. I don't think it's sour crop as their crop doesn't look big at all. Nothing has changed with the water or food, it's the same as the big chickens get and I have not had any issues with them. Since these last 2 were outside of office hours, I haven't called the vet but plan to do so if this happens again during a weekday. Any ideas would help greatly!!!

What does their poop look like? You said the same feed as the older birds. What feed is it?
Producers Pride, combination of scratch, pellets and crumble. Water is city water. I haven't seen anything as far as poop that looked concerning. However, the that died last night did poop (I assume after he passed from muscles relaxing) and it was orange runny, had the smell of diarrhea.

I forgot to mention, with the exception of this last one, they all had clear liquid coming from their mouths before they died and it would just poor out after they passed.

They're too young for scratch. Do the access to dirt or grit? What's the brooder like?
what food are you feeding, exactly?

They have a a wooden coop with access to part of our run which is dirt and leaves. Leaves also used as the bedding in the coop. We started them on chick starter when they were born but just integrated them in with the bigger birds today.
