Thanks for the info.
I noticed that they acted a lot like shiner minnows in that they would crowd into the corner.
Shiners will drown if put in a square tank.
I'll try to put together another pen and divide them up.
Chicken starter? hope they got it at the hardware store.
I'll feed em grits tonight.

You should put a post on Craigslist.com for them, I have had good luck selling chicks on there. Give it a try it cant hurt !!!!! Good luck, if I wasnt so far away I would take some for yah !!!!

Just my opinion, I would contact law enforcement, and find out who the people were. Then try and contact family and give them the chicks. Obviously these people spent good money on these birds, and now are in the hospital, I am sure that when they recover, the birds would be apperciated.

That's considered stealing.

Stop trying to sell something that's not yours, please. Bring them to law enforcement(police or animal control) and tell them what happened. Then, see if you or the animal control people can return them to their rightful owners.

Sorry for sounding so harsh, but you should seriously know not to steal...it's common sense.

I'm sure if you bought that many chicks with your money and then you got in a car crash or something and then someone took your chicks that were with you, then sold them to other people, you would be mad! I'm sure I would!

I'm sorry I am giggling over them all being on the pool table. I know it's off topic, but my friend has a pool table...it's his pride and joy. I am dying laughing here thinking of how HE would react with a pool table full of peepers. Eight ball in the corner pocket...no wait, move the chicken first!!

Do you have a feed store? I doubt the hardware store will have medicated chick starter.
Anyway.. you're stuck!

We called the sherriff dept. to get the peoples phone # but they would'nt/ could'nt give out that info.
Said they would have them call.
Hav'nt heard a thing.
These birds are not in the best environment and need relief
quickly.
As it is, I'm gonna have to resurface the table. $200.00
Buy feed and such. Not to count electricity for 450 watts 24-7.
I don't think thats stealing.
I'll give them away! Want some?

Update:
I've contacted the county again, who refered me to the animal control.
Now if I call these people what do you think will happen?

So, back to tryin to find locals here in the chicken capitol of the world to take some to raise and put to good use.
