Yes. I do too. They go out for a visit and have a blast and wear themselves out running around and digging up grass and then I take them back in.
First trip out is just sooo cute!

Oh - and make sure that they have access to chick grit if you take them outside for a visit because they will for sure find a bug or a worm and eat it.

4 weeks old, it's just boredom. There's really no reason for them to be inside all day unless your temperatures are still very cold, or it's quite rainy/windy.

My 6, 5 weeks old, are going into their coop today, but I had noticed this behavior, a few weeks ago, and try to give them something to distract them through out the day.

- 2 big dog bowls full of soil from the garden and a bit of DE for dust baths
- clover from the (unsprayed) lawn
- a plate of chicken crumble soaked in warm water
- fresh cut grass
- a few meal worms
- a step stool to get up on, or hide under
- a bowl of chick grit


My pen is 5' diameter, and they do get on each other's nerves.
