So, I just got my babies this morning and I’ve been constantly adjusting the heat lamp.
I’ve been told that the correct temperatures for 0-1 week is 90-95°F and to lower that temperature every week, but so far I’ve noticed that they all huddle if the temperature in under 93° and seem comfortable at about 96°-97°? Is this ok?

A lot of you also asked for pictures of the chicks on my thread yesterday, that has been updated with pictures— but I’ll add some here too.

For 0-1 weeks old 95 degrees is recommended. So 96-97 is perfectly okay if they seem content.

Remember they hatch at a 99.5 degree temperature so they’re used to warm temps.

Each week that goes by you can lower the temperature by 5 degrees.
