Chore Coat Challenge aka: Stuff your coat with your rooster

Not technically a rooster yet (almost 3 months), but poor lil Porthos was not amused XD

He hasn't been picked up since he was a hatchling, he was yard-raised with a broody.

He's an Aloha, a project breed started in Arizona to make a mottled, dual-purpose chicken that does well in the heat. If you look them up here on BYC, you can find a couple threads and articles discussing them from the project founder along with links to her former blog about them.
Okay, I just love the Alohas so I feel like now that somebody asked, I just gotta share more and gush about this great breed/landrace/project. So this page:

...of an Aloha rooster that's likely quite similar to what Porthos will grow up to look like, to give you a true example of an Aloha rooster instead of my sad Aloha teenager. I'm excited to see him in his full glory.

Alohas in general are beautiful birds, and if you check out the page, you can see some great photos of the variation between different Aloha hens and roosters.

I shared my biggest boy in my chore coat earlier, here is my smallest 🥰 he gets cold easily and actually loves getting some coat time. When he's cold he stays completely still and quiet, as he warms up he'll start to talk, and gets louder and louder until he's warmed up then does a mad scramble out of my coat and flies off.
