Clan Spiral breeding question

So I am hoping to start spiral breeding for a few breeds and I was wondering;

Do you keep the 4 clan coops as the breeding coops but put the breed not currently being bred in a different area so you can keep them together but put them with the rooster when it’s time to actually get fertilized eggs for incubating.

For example:
I want to breeding Orpingtons and keep them in the clan coops, they would be color and number leg banded (I haven’t done wing bands). And they would stay in there for roughly 4 weeks. To ensure the rooster got to them, and then we’d collect 6 days of eggs and put them in incubators. Now we could keep them in there for another clutch 21 days later.

However,

Would it be feesible to rotate them out to another coop where they are only with their other breeding Orpington ladies (no males) and put another breed in the breeding coops. Say Brahmas, and they would also be leg banded by color. They would stay in for 4 weeks, we take 6 days of eggs and put them in the incubator.

I know this might be a dumb question. I’m new to breeding, we’ve hatched backyard mutts in our incubator before and liked it enough to wonder if we could be breeders so now we are in the learning process.

We want to clan/spiral breed for sure.

We may want to one day do a project Bree’s (I’m thinking maybe mauve Orpington or some unique mottled color).

Anyway, let me know what your thoughts are! I’m excited!

Also for fun; drop me a picture of your favorite mutt or project breed you did. I’m a big fan of whatever people are calling Lemon colored chickens! 🥰

I don't have an answer to your question (sorry), but am interested in the answer too. I'm also starting to build out 4 breeding pens for a clan breeding program, and starting to think about the chick logistics. After one clan hatches, I assume those will need to be put in a grow-out pen and kept separate until they are a certain age before new selection of best hens and roosters, and then possibly re-introduced as new hens in the same clan's breeding pen? I'm also curious how to re-introduce a rooster that came out of the next generation to a clan if it's better than one of the existing roosters.
