I have two roosters, and their rear ends are sick. I think it's candidiasis. Today I gave them apple cider vinegar, 15 ml in a gallon of water. I gave them oatmeal with coconut oil and in the afternoon half a garlic clove. I washed them with antibacterial soap and removed the scab they had. They look red and swollen. The roosters look very good, they eat well, their poop looks normal and they are active. I realized this because I take them out daily so they can run and eat grass and I always check to make sure they are okay. IMG_20250108_164334867_HDR.jpg IMG_20250108_163811703_HDR.jpg

I would get some Miconazole (Monistat) at the drug store for them. It's non prescription. You can put some on their vent, and also orally.

I would also get some probiotic powder for their water for a few days, then once or twice a week after. The ACV may work the same, but day after day isn't healthy as it can become harmful. The probiotic water can be given many days in a row without hurting them. Greek yogurt is also good. You could give them each around a tablespoon per day.

I would stop the oatmeal. Feed them a normal poultry feed like an all flock feed or chick starter.

It may be Vent Gleet, hard to tell. You would want to treat with an anti-fungal/yeast. Nystatin can be ordered online or you can try using a topical cream like Miconazole or Clotrimazole.
