Cochin Thread!!!

Here is a funny picture from last night. My golden laced Wyandotte (hamlet) thinks my cochin (pickles) is her mom. They are only about two weeks apart in age. Maybe 3. They are about 9 and 7 weeks. Give or take. I'm pretty darn positive my cochin is a girl though. So woohoo!

edited to add the pic. Lol!

It's so cute to see the bond that some of them form.  Not sure about you, but I love having all sorts of different breeds!
I have a very mixed flock! Here's my list:
2 barred rock hens (6 months) we started with these two and five ducks. Ducks are gone now. I'm addicted to chickens!
1 easter egger (17 weeks)
1 black cochin (9ish weeks)
1 golden laced wyandotte (7ish weeks)
1 silver laced polish (2 weeks)
1 silver laced wyandotte (2 weeks)
1 white silkie (2 weeks)
1 blue silkie (2 weeks)
1 easter egger (2 weeks)
1 salmon faverolle (2 weeks)

I'm unsure of sex on the polish and both silkies but all others *should* be female. I love my chickens!

And I must say she is so sweet I have fell in love with her !! When I picked her up from this hatchery that I want name she was filthy smelled horrible when I got her home and put her in her quarantine set up she went crazy on the food. I got her out to give her a bath and noticed her crop was like a water balloon ! Took her to the vet he said she appeared to have gorged herself she is also malnourished and was louse infested :( so I had to withhold food and let it go down ! After I gave her some egg it puffed back up some but she acts fine never seen this before !! Only a week of having her and if I let her out in the house she follows me room to room lol
