Cockerels singing egg song with hens and at night

I know cockerels/roosters (age difference) sing with hens as they lay eggs. Our 14 week old Doofenshmirtz has started sing with the older girls and also singing at dusk. ((He sounds so horrible lol! Like he's croaking))

We're guessing just before he rounds them up for coop?? Or should we be on lookout for predators? Or is he just goofy? Lol

I'm sure his voice will improve with time!

My 1yo speckled sussex rooster accompanies the girls in their egg songs and sometimes sings in the middle of the night.
