But a little note: in the video, the speaker says, 'You're squashing the chick.' Well, no. Dad sits with his toosh just cocked a little in the air. This creates a warm dry little room, and over the days of the hatch, the chicks gleefully run in and out from under Dad, through the 'curtain' of feathers. It's just a little odd to me that the assumption is that Dad/evolution got no idea, and hoomernz gotta pull the egg into the open for it to hatch.
