Hi! I have a small cover of pharaoh quail, and I am hoping at some point to breed and/or add some other colours into the group. The breeder near me only has pharaoh. Any tips of sourcing other colours??
I'm in the Toronto region (Ontario, Canada). Willing to take eggs or chicks. Also in no rush at all, just putting feelers out as I hope to someday have a more diverse covey.

Thanks!

Breezy Bird farms will ship eggs, but she is Manitoba-based so the shipping can be pricy to ensure they arrive on time. I ordered a batch last year of some black-feathered celedon layers, but between my Amazon-bought incubator, and my selection of economy shipping I only managed to get one breeding pair. I have some set in the incubator from the pair now, so we'll see how it goes.

I live in the K-W region, if you ever stop by I can give you some eggs from them for free.

I ordered eggs from Thieving Otter Farm. I've read good things about the quality & temperament of their birds, and they have some cool color options, including some from Southwest Gamebirds' lines (which doesn't sell eggs anymore).
I don't think Thieving Otter ships to Canada. There are a bunch of customs things to deal with.

Thanks! I will definitely touch base if I'm going to be in the area :)
