5 new birds added to the 5 birds flock currently.. what would you guys say this lighter ones are? I'm calling amber links or possibly amber links crossed to ISA browns? The guy said he just buys loads of chicks off a big breeder of the brown egg layers n always has a mix of all the best brown egg laying breeds like lhoman browns, columbian blacktails, ginger nut rangers etc n I think he might have some amber links or amber link cross some kinda brown in there as there totally lighter than my new Columbian black tails off the guy and I need to get a stretch out wing and tail shot so U can see the bold black feathers properly and there totally lighter than my ginger X ISA browns off another breeder

This is the new 4 month/17week ones I think could be amber link or amber link crossed to ISA brown or lhoman browns or some other brown/ginger/red variety as alot lighter than my ginger isa browns amd my Columbian blacktails

Now these are my ISA browns or ginger isa browns that are 6 or 7 months now n been absolute little b@£tchs to my new youngers yesterday when got em and earlier today till I started grabbing them and pinning them down and dominating them like shown in vids on YouTube I think Its worked now as not really done it at all now this evening for hours now and been watching em the whole time now so think it got there dominating attitude out of these older ISA browns now.. I felt so bad for the youngers I had to step in and deal with it, I know about pecking order but too much is too much they was grabbin wattles and not letting go and pulling multiple feathers out the youngers bodys too and this was all the time while the youngers was blaitently submitting to the olders bowing there heads right to the floor not wanting no fights n these older ISA browns still kept just attacking them so I had to step in and control the situation.. touch wood that's the end of it now.. I dont mind a few pecks to show whos boss n whos in order etc but this was way over the top.. 🙈

The ones in the pictures on top have white legs, so probably some red breed mixed with buff Orpingtons or some other white skinned breed.

The birds in the bottom pictures are typical red sex links, of which there are many brands like Lohman's and ISA browns.

They should get along eventually if they have enough space. Putting lots of stuff in the coop/run for the new ones to hide behind or jump up on can help.

* I just looked up Colombian black tails, which are a Rhode Island red male over light Sussex female. The white legs come from the Sussex parent.

And also do you know about the white leghorn F1 cross called DeKalb crossed to ISA browns I think called amber links? Do white leghorns or dekalbs have white skin/feet?

Dekalb whites are different from Amberlinks. They are very close to white Leghorns in appearance. Should have yellow legs, as should Amberlinks. But when a hen has laid lots of eggs, sometimes the yellow color fades on her legs, so it can be tough to tell with older birds sometimes.

Also yea ivbbee

I been leaving the run door open for em to come out in garden while I'm there which is 90 percent time and leaving tool box stools etc for the youngers to run away behind, other than a few pecks from the olders tonight to make sure they know who's boss around here it's been trouble free pretty much nothing to heavy like earlier at least.. yea hopefully theyl accept them as part of the flock over next few days.. just gonna monitor them closely at all times... And all the breeds I have are top egg layers so I'm hoping to find a DeKalb male or a golden comet male to cross into these as both are what's used in amberlinks and ISA browns for the males if I've read correctly and seen pics on here correct in other threads on here..

Check

https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...derstanding-the-genetics-behind-them.1322163/ Also this is the link to what thread is making me think amber links is DeKalb female crossed to same male as used in ISA brown cross to make amber links except they cross the male back to ISA browns and also if you look at the rooster from that thread that they say makes both hybrids the male looks awfully like a golden comet rooster what do you guys think? I'm tryna find the right rooster to get special offspring from all my girls that are retaining the super egg laying abilitys of all 3 hybrids that I have..

This is the male used in that thread for ISA brown and amber link just different females and this is the golden comet rooster pic that looks identical that comes up when you screen search the pic for the male rooster in that thread that apparently makes both crosses.. I think I could have found the right male for my brown egg layers to breed to so I get ISA browns sex linked chics and also I read somewhere that for some reason the golden comet rooster passes on the sex link traits to the offspring too just like ISA browns so it's looking even more so like I could have found the right rooster breed for creating ISA browns I just need to actually find a golden comet rooster now in UK England...

No I'm sayin from a thread on here apparently amber links are bred by crossing ISA brown female with a DeKalb rooster... I know Dekalb is a F1 of white leghorn and they cross that to ISA browns for amber link..
That could well be. I'm not really sure which breeds are used to make amberlinks. Hatcheries often don't state that information.

Sorry I got mixed up, it's the same male which looks like a golden comet when screen searched it on Google, crossed to both hybrids of ISA browns and amberlinks just crossed to DeKalb female to make amber links chics, and same male crossed back to ISA browns female to make ISA brown sex linked chics

and also do U see how similar the amber link pic looks to my new lighter colour golden girls? Maybe not quite as white but they do say it varies in brownness/ redness and lightness depending on the chic obviously.. who knows maybe mine are a few chics with the darker expression of the amber links maybe?? Just check my other ISA browns compare to these they look alot darker..
