Hi All,
First off, I have never hatched and egg. I have been doing research on the larger incubators and for the life of me I cannot figure out the whole incubator hatcher combo. So here is what is puzzling me:
You can set over 150 eggs in the incubator but there is only a small hatching basket at the bottom. how are you supposed to fit all the eggs in the small hatching basket.

Also, people do staggered hatches.... how does that work if you need to lockdown the bottom portion at a higher humidity?

I have seen the Sportsman separate hatcher and incubator... Is that a better option? What do people do with the brinsea ova-easy ones? do they hatch them all in hatching trays after?

Has anyone used a Hatching Time machine.... I was convinced to go with either brinsea or sportsman but just watched a review on hatching time and it seemed like it preformed a bit better with the automatic humidity control?
Thank you!

A separate dedicated hatcher is the best solution. You can stagger your hatch in the incubator as well, but it is a compromise. One strategy is to raise the humidity on hatch day or at the first pip and leave it up no longer than 24hrs. Ideally the hatch window will be less. If the hatch is spreading out over mutiple days there is a problem somewhere. It worked well for me. The big benefit of a separate hatcher is it keep the incubator pristine and clean. Hatching can be a messy, dusty business. After the hatch you wipe it down, disinfect the hatchin tray, and your ready for the next batch.
